The Action Against Asthma program addresses environmental justice issues related to health, the environment and housing through education, community organizing and advocacy.
The Action Against Asthma program is a community-based empowerment program that addresses environmental justice issues related to health, environment, and housing. Our goal is to educate public housing residents on indoor and outdoor pollutants. Our objective is to organize residents to take action to mediate and eliminate the underlying causes of asthma by conducting peer-to-peer education, creating local committees, and connecting with local health providers and politicians.
