Asthma is a chronic disease with multiple risk factors and causes. Research has shown that the factors responsible for asthma symptoms and attacks can vary widely from person to person. The Child Asthma Risk Assessment Tool (CARAT) uses information provided by patients and health care providers to identify and prioritize the unique asthma risk factors for an individual. The tool also provides useful information about how people can reduce their asthma risks. CARAT was originally developed to support the NIH-funded National Cooperative Inner-City Asthma Study and has been used for nearly 30 years by researchers, healthcare providers, and patients.
CARAT is completely free and can be used as often as you like.
