The Xi Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha conducts programs throughout the year that benefit children and families enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Our primary goal is early diagnosis, treatment awareness and parental education and advocacy. Yearly we co-sponsor an Asthma Awareness lecture for school nurses in the community to understand the symptoms and treatment of asthma and asthma prevention.
