We are announcing two new programs on our website: www.pacnj.org.  On the home page there are two buttons on the left featuring a video for patients and a video for primary care providers. 

The first button is “Check this Out” featuring Asthma and the Winter showcasing our new patient video Six Key Steps on Your Pathway to Asthma Control and the new EPA videos The Breathe Easies in English and Spanish.   The Six Steps video is based on our patient handout and gives a brief description of each step to help people with asthma understand the basics for controlling their asthma.

The second button is “Asthma in the Primary Care Practice” and features the PACNJ free online CME Program Asthma Today and the free Asthma Tool Kit for Primary Care Providers.   This program is hosted by the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians and the link takes providers to their webpage to register.  After successfully completing the one-hour program, providers are given the link to the free Asthma Tool Kit materials on line and the option to get a boxed kit with materials for 50 patients.  The only way to access these free materials is by taking the free online course.

Please forward this link www.pacnj.org to all the people you serve so that patients and primary care providers have access to tools designed to help patients manage their asthma.  And ask them to forward this to the people on their list serves.
