West Oakland Asthma Coalition

For the past ten years we have been teaching Open Airways for Schools and Tools for Schools in West Oakland. We have recently aquired a BreathMobile and are now able to teach and treat students in schools. We are a non-profit with the mission of reaching out to our community to address the signs, symptoms, triggers and treatment of asthma. We affiliate with larger asthma coalitions throughout the state of California to write policy for asthma care and prevention. Our school-based and community education activities have allowed us to reach over 500 people per year. With our new MD/NP-staffed mobile van we can now also odd pulmonary function testing and treament as well.
