The Asthma Action Plan for Chicago: Addressing Asthma in Englewood project aims to address community concerns over high rates of asthma morbidity in the Englewood area by capitalizing on local resources and existing community infrastructures capable of long term sustainability to develop a cohesive, multi-level program with lasting, positive effects for those with asthma.

The Asthma Action Plan for Chicago: Addressing Asthma in Englewood project will build upon existing infrastructures to address community concerns about the high rates of asthma morbidity in the Englewood area which is a low-income African American community on the south side of Chicago. To accomplish this, the project partners will develop a multilevel program using proven intervention strategies that capitalize upon local resources and develop community infrastructures capable of long term sustainability.
