Queens Hospital Center Pediatric Asthma Program
QHC Pediatric Asthma Program consists of a team of healthcare professionals including a pediatric pulmonologist,pediatric allergist,asthma educator,and a licensed practical nurse.The program is held weekly in a hospital clinic setting. It involves extensive teaching,demonstrating,and reinforcement of all asthma medications to be used with the proper equipment. The program is adhered only to pediatrics with goals dealing with empowerment,confidence,and the ability to be the best by controlling your asthma symptoms. Rewards/incentives and prizes are distributed to our asthmatic patients as a thank you for bringing in their spacers and medications. One of the major goals of our program is that kids with asthma can do anything by controlling their asthma symptoms.
