Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) has a full-time professional staff, a national network of chapters, and more than 70 educational support groups. AAFA’s mission is to provide community-based education, outreach, advocacy, and research. AAFA develops and distributes educational programs geared toward facilitating the patient and the health care professional partnership in managing asthma and allergies. AAFA’s educational programs in asthma are nationally recognized and validated, and reflect current national clinical standards. AAFA also offers patients and professionals a Clinical Trials Resource Center, a Toll-Free Information Line (1-800-7-ASTHMA), and numerous free resources online at www.aafa.org.
