Treatments and Services
At Children’s Nebraska Asthma Center of Excellence, we use biologic therapies, remote patient monitoring, and lung function testing to deliver the most up-to-date care for pediatric asthma. Our advanced diagnostics and full-service laboratory facilities allow for the most accurate diagnosis. Some of the diagnostic tests we use to identify asthma are also used to monitor its severity. For example, we may give your child a handheld device called a peak flow meter to measure how well their lungs work. Low readings can indicate asthma worsening before it even causes symptoms. The goal of treating your child’s asthma is to manage symptoms and flare-ups, which can include using and finding the right dose of medications.
