The Baylor College of Medicine Environmental Health Service (BCM-EHS) has been involved with educating health care professionals (and aspiring professionals) and the public about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of environmentally induced or exacerbated illness for more than ten years. The BCM-EHS will soon begin offering clinical services in environmental health, with a focus on helping patients with difficult-to-control asthma.
The BCM Environmental Health Service is expanding its professional education initiative and will soon begin offering clinical services in environmental health. Initially, the clinic will focus on helping patients with asthma. Program staff will work with each patient to understand their asthma and to identify and reduce asthma triggers in the home and other places where the patients spend time.
