I am a current doctoral student studying public health (Dr.P.H.) in Baltimore, MD working on my dissertation which involves secondary data analysis from 2 CDC healthcare surveys involving a national sample of patients with asthma and health education provided to them at primary care visits. Thus, I would like to supplement my current research, if possible, by getting some primary data from a focus group involving asthma patients and their asthma management/counseling/asthma health education provided by primary care doctors at office/hospital visits. I am requesting assistance from asthma experts with creating a focus group with this population. I am also willing to work with an expert already doing a focus group(s) related to this topic and/or target population if it is feasible. I am flexible and willing to learn from an expert. In addition, I am seeking information on a validated survey instrument that I could use in my focus group regarding the health education/counseling/health management of asthma patients.
