The CCEJ Speakers' Bureau is comprised of men and women who volunteer their time and expertise to speak to groups in the community about asthma. The presentations are usually 10-20 minutes from start to finish. CCEJ developed this program to help urban communities to reach a better understanding of issues related to asthma. Pur primary objective is to increase awareness of this potentially fatal disease. The speakers will help people ot recognize symptoms and triggers of asthma and show the relationship of environmental links such as air pollution to asthma. They will also provide information about programs available for individual asthmatics to learn better management of the disease.
