The Greater Baltimore Asthma Alliance (GBAA) is a community partnership of individuals and organizations with an interest in asthma that has been active since 1999. GBAA is dedicated to coordinating efforts around asthma, increasing the quality of asthma care, improving the environment, and connecting families to asthma resources. The GBAA’s core membership is comprised of leadership from the Baltimore City Health Department, Johns Hopkins University, and the Baltimore City Public School System. Representation also comes from the Maryland Asthma Control Program, the University of Maryland, foundations, the Coalition to End Childhood Lead Poisoning, various managed care organizations, a pharmaceutical company, and other organizations.
