I am starting to see patients for Asthma education and am unable to find any CPT codes that apply to reimbursment for this in the outpatient setting. Has anyone seen any?

Below are some potential codes for asthma education- you would need to check with your insurance carriers to determine which ones they cover.

· 98960 - Education and training for patient self-management by a qualified, non-physician health care professional using a standardized curriculum, face-to-face with the patient (could include caregiver/family) each 30 minutes; individual patient
· 98961 - Two to four patients; each 30 minutes
· 98962 - Five to eight patients; each 30 minutes.
S9441 - ASTHMA EDUCATION, NON-PHYSICIAN PROVIDER, PER SESSION
