Overview

Asthma is the most common chronic illness of childhood, affecting approximately 6 million children in the United States. Poorly controlled asthma limits activities, interferes with school attendance and can result, all too often, in emergency department visits and hospitalizations. Our challenge remains to provide safe and effective treatment of asthma and allergies. We developed this program to provide a forum to discuss current topics related to the diagnosis and management of pediatric asthma and allergy with primary care providers, who care for the majority of these children.

Course Format

This course will be fully digital and presented via Zoom. The dynamic learning format of the course has been optimized for the virtual classroom.  Presentations will be recorded and available on-demand for all paid attendees for one month after the conference.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

1) Recognize the longitudinal impact of asthma on lung function.

2) Develop strategies to manage patients with asthma and allergies.

3) Incorporate asthma education into your practice.
