The Asthma Clinic of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota emphasizes patient and family education to improve quality of life for children with asthma.
Vision: All children with asthma will have available a program that incorporates the highest standard of medical care, supported by links to their primary care providers, their family, schools and community organizations.
Objectives:
1. Improve quality of life for the child with asthma.
2. Improve adherence with recommended medication and environmental changes.
The asthma clinic is staffed by Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, who are experienced in management of asthma. The emphasis of the program is on patient/family education.
