How have the programs addressed adults with asthma?

How can we support CHW learning on work-related asthma?  Specifically, learning about causes and prevention of work-related asthma and the relevance of workers' compensation benefits.

Do home visiting CHWs learn and teach about the risks of asthmagens and irritants in disinfectants and cleaning products?

Hi Elise,

Nice to hear from you!  I think we need to incorporate work-related asthma into our training and we'll work with you on that!  As to adults, the payers we interviewed have asked us to work on older adult asthma with CHWs. It is something we want to pursue in the future and so do our partners in MA.  However, this research hasn't been well funded to date.  Our bulletin on older adult asthma can be found at www.mass.gov/dph/asthma.
