The asthma and allergy project provides free services (English/Spanish). Services consists of home visits by asthma home educators. Some of our key discussions cover what cuases asthma, how to prevent asthma attacks, how asthma medications help, and condition in the home and outdoors that bring on an asthma attack.
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Asthma and Allergy Project addresses a community need to manage chronic disease through education and collaboration with school districts, community clinics, physicians, and families. The project has adapted best practices from the Master Home Environmentalist training and Washington State Asthma Collaborative to low-income, minority populations in rural areas.
