The City College of San Francisco's Community Health Worker Certificate Program is a 17-unit program designed to prepare individuals for work in the field of community-oriented health and social services. Their CHW program offers two related certificates (Post-Prison Health Worker and Youth Worker) and provides students with the tools to reduce health disparities among underserved communities in a culturally appropriate way. In addition, the program addresses global economic impacts on community health as well as tools available for organizing environmental change.
