The Community Health Worker Certificate of Achievement program at Santa Rosa Junior College in California is a 22-unit program that combines interactive course work and practical community experience. Students experience a variety of community health outreach strategies and techniques, including examining common disease and health problems, motivating health behavior change, preventing disease and injury, identifying and using community health resources, and working with a health team. An Associate’s Degree program is also available.
