The primary goal of the initiative is to raise awareness about asthma and educate Boys & Girls Club members and their parents or caregivers about asthma and how best to manage it.

University of Maryland Children's Hospital Breathmobile

The UMCH Breathmobile is a mobile clinic that provides free state-of-the-art preventive asthma care to underserved children who otherwise would not have access to effective specialty based asthma care. The Breathmobile provides care right outside neighborhood schools. The children receive national asthma guideline based care including asthma and allergy focused history and physical, lung function testing, allergy testing to identify potential allergen triggers, provision of medications, action plans and extensive education about how to keep asthma under control.
