Environmental Justice Communities and Asthma

This is very useful info for helping families control HOME and SCHOOL factors that affect asthma. Any strategy/suggestions for how to help families/communities when the environmental threats are coming from outside the home--environmental injustice issues such as close-by chemical treatment plants (e.g., sewage, water), or high voltage power lines and the radiation and micro-pollutants that accumulate around such lines, off-gassing from dumps, etc?

Nebulizer Treatments in Schools

Posted on: 28 May 2020 By: Dan W

Hello,

In light of COVID-19 and young children with asthma in school, many of us will be deliveing albuterol and other inhaled medications to students via MDI and spacer, however there are students with special needs and those of young age who are not able to effectively take inhaled medications by MDI / spacer. What methods of delivering nebulizer treatments safely to these students have been explored or discussed?

Thank you,

Dan
