Award Feedback and Program Improvement

How did the feedback from winning the award inform how you developed your program?

As winners of the award, we were able to leverage the recognition to develop future directions for expansion and replication.

In addition, the application process led us to evaluate the different components of our program, and consider supplementing areas where we had less activity or documented outcomes.

Applicants that do not receive the award get specific feedback on areas of strength and weakness.

Each application is reviewed by a panel of asthma experts from EPA, CDC, HUD and other organizations who judge the application against the published criteria.  Feedback given to the applicants is based on the strengths identified by the panel with suggestions to address areas of weakness.
