If non-smoking housing is mandate how do we prevent sick, elderly and disabled people with smoking addictions and the limitations brought on by that, from being evicted? Where do we refer them to if they get evicted?
Why Xolair only as opposed to other prescriptions? (From John Kane)
Would be very interested in seeing if anyone has some low literacy educational materials (English/Spanish) that they could share regarding home environment and trigger mitigation
Thank you for the very informative presentation. Dr. Dearborn mentioned making the program more sustainable by seeking funds other than that from grants. He spoke of contacting Medicaid representatives to speak about cost effectiveness and reimbursement. Mr. Greenburg also mentioned this - What are recommendations for approaching Medicaid?
Dr. Dearborn: You mentioned including patients in your program who had asthma hospitalizations AND were on Xolair. What percent of your patients generally require Xolair? If you included only those with hospitalizations, is the prograjm still cost-effective? Thank you.
If a family has an asthmatic child & choose not to quit smoking in the home do you still provide the home with a HEPA type filter & vacume?
