The American Academy of Pediatrics developed and piloted the Chapter Quality Network (CQN) to provide chapters with the direct support necessary to lead a QI effort. The CQN works at the practice, state and national levels to build a network of AAP chapters, enhancing their ability to lead quality improvement collaboratives to achieve measurable improvements in the health outcomes of children with asthma. Practices aim to achieve measurable improvements in asthma outcomes by implementing the NHLBI guidelines and making CQN key practice changes. The CQN is also piloting a home visiting intervention.
