The Managing Asthma in the School Environment guide offers valuable information for all school staff, especially school nurses, teachers, and maintenance staff, on how to establish and evaluatine an indoor air quality management program, develop an asthma management plan, and reduce environmental asthma triggers.

HERC's Resource Center provides many services free of charge to the residents of Bayview Hunters Point. These services include:

-Asthma Education with the use of modules and simulators
-Free handouts with information specific to your Asthma Needs
-Free Mattress Covers
-Free Peak Flow Meter Testing
-Free training on how to use your Asthma Inhaler if you are newly diagnosed
-Free Referral to Southeast Health Center Asthma Clinic if you feel you may have Asthma
