The majority of the
The majority of the households engaged in the asthma home visit programs are multi-family rentals and though we generally are looking at what triggers IN the home may be contributing to asthma symptoms, the CHW absolutely factors in potential triggers and exposures in the surrounding environment (neighbors smoking, windows being closed due to fear of community violence, etc.). Shared air can certainly be a factor and generally the exposure of concern is smoke. Generally this is the landlord/property management that is responsible for addressing this.
