Signature events have included annual celebrations of World Asthma Day at Impression 5 Museum and "Not One More Life" at various places of worship and Head Start locations. The coalition now also works to advance healthcare improvements, such as health plan reimbursement for in-home asthma case management, increased availability of medical supplies (spacers), and improvements to both indoor and outdoor air quality.

One Touch programs operate in 2 states and 5 cities to connect asthma programs with other health, housing and energy programs.

In-home asthma education by nurses who are certified asthma educators.

Promotoras conduct home visits for children with asthma that were seen in CHMC's ER or hospitalized with asthma. They provide asthma education and remediation of potential asthma triggers in the home.

The In-home Pediatric Asthma Program uses home visits by an Asthma educator and a community health worker to provide education and interventions to reduce triggers to improve self-management of asthma by children and families, to improve quality of life, decrease missed days of school, unplanned doctor visits, use of emergency room, and hospital visits.

Utah Asthma Coalition is a non-profit group to support those living with Asthma. We believe that through education, prevention and improved management we can ease the burden of Asthmatics living in our community.

Our Healthy Homes programs have worked on Asthma and other housing related health issues including the Advancing Safe and Healthy Homes Initiative funded by the Kresge foundation and most recently the EPA EJCPS collaborative.
