CARE (Childhood Asthma Resources and Education)

Barton County Memorial Hospital's CARE program is a 2009 CALM grant recipent from the Missouri Foundation for Health. Our objectives are educate, reduce shcool absenteeism and reduce inpatient/emergency room admission rates for children with asthma by promoting respiratory health through better prevention, detection, treatment, and education efforts.

Lungtropolis® is an interactive web-based learning game created to help children ages 5-10 control their asthma. The site incorporates a resource for parents featuring comprehensive tips on caring for a child with asthma. The Lungtropolis® blog offers valuable news and resources for parents caring for children with asthma. The blog features information on asthma disease management, asthma education and asthma symptoms.

Asthma Educational Program on Correct Inhaler Techniques

Use-inhalers provides free online training to Asthma and COPD patients on how to properly use their inhalers and reduce the misuse of inhalers. Our Mission is to promote the importance of patient education on correct inhaler technique by educating the patients in the most simple and easy way to get better clinical outcome and better control over Asthma.
