However, because of the time spent in school, school staff can become a partner in the management of the disease. Their active participation through Peak Performance USA, with the help of the respiratory care practitioner, in a partnership with the physician, child and parents can help the child participate fully in school activities.

The Burlington Lead Program, a part of the City of Burlington, Vermont's Community and Economic Development Office (CEDO). Funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Burlington Lead Program works to educate the Burlington and Winooski communities about Lead Poisoning Prevention and provides technical assistance to reduce lead based paint hazards for area residents.
