The Tri-County Asthma Coalition improves the quality of life for people with asthma living in the Tri-County area through information and education.

The BREATHE Asthma Education and Research Program aims to develop a successful way to deliver health education to rural and reservation areas and then share that method with other areas to improve health care services.

The Seminole Tribe Environmental Health Program is responsible for indoor air quality in Tribal residential homes, schools, and community buildings.

Pedipress Asthma Publications offers comprehensive asthma management materials and programs developed by Dr. Plaut.

Montana State University's Native AIR (Asthma Intervention & Reduction) program educates, empowers, and encourages voluntary action on the part of tribal communities to improve the conditions in their homes and ultimately reduce the risk of asthma trigger exposure for all asthmatics in Indian country.

Through the Northern Plains Tobacco Prevention Project (NPTPP), the Aberdeen Area Tribal Chairmen's Health Board targets American Indian tribal members and tribally based health professionals to improve indoor air quality in the homes of American Indian children with asthma and develop capacity among tribal health care professionals to assist patients in identifying, mitigating and managing asthma triggers in their homes.

The Pawnee Asthma Program serves to improve the quality of life and access to care for children by forming partnerships with schools, conducting outreach and education, operating a clinic, and establishing an asthma registry, among other activities.

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians supports more than 1,000 active patients diagnosed with asthma.

The Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana operates a full service Community Health Center staffed with a physician, nurses, pharmacist, dietician, dentist,etc.

Through our indoor air quality program, Bois Forte Environmental Services spreads asthma awareness and prevention techniques to local Native populations as well as those throughout EPA Region 5.
