Utah Asthma Program

The Utah Asthma Program is located at the Utah Department of Health in the Bureau of Health Promotion. It began in December 2001 with the intent to develop state capacity to address asthma, including an occupational component. The program is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Healthy Neighborhoods Program is a free in-home health and safety assessment and intervention program for residents of targeted areas of Niagara County, NY. Public Health Technicians come to the home and assist the resident in identifying health and safety hazards, asthma triggers, indoor pollutants and potential lead poisoning problem areas. Free smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, asthma relief products and cleaning products may all be available to the resident according to need.
