Maricopa County Asthma Coalition members include representatives from state, county and local public health departments, environmental health agencies/experts, community non-profit organizations, school nurses, head start administrative staff, health care professional, hospitals, community clinics, health care plans, business, pharmaceutical companies and parents of children with asthma.

Breathe Better Bus

From the moment the Breathe Better Bus pulls up, it is clear that this is not your ordinary classroom - inside, children and adults are invited to touch, hear, and interact with learning stations on asthma, smoking, indoor asthma triggers, outdoor air quality, and lung health, using all of the senses to promote lung health, knowledge of asthma, and to reinforce youth tobacco prevention messages.

Clean Air for Kids® is a Pierce County program offered through a partnership between the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department and the Puget Sound Asthma Coalition. A Clean Air for Kids® Asthma Outreach Worker is available to help families take control of their child's asthma. Services are free of charge and provided in the home at a time that is convenient for families.
