The objectives of MARAN are to establish a network of stakeholders to implement the National Asthma Strategy and to provide an educational forum to exchange information about issues pertaining to the asthma epidemic in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

The CDC Asthma Program aims to support the management of asthma nationwide and is composed of three main components: surveillance, science-based interventions, and partnerships.

Clean Air for Kids® is a Pierce County program offered through a partnership between the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department and the Puget Sound Asthma Coalition. A Clean Air for Kids® Asthma Outreach Worker is available to help families take control of their child's asthma. Services are free of charge and provided in the home at a time that is convenient for families.

Southern Nevada Health District's activities focus on education in homes and child care centers about asthma trigger identification and mitigation.

The Baltimore City Childhood Asthma Program performs in-home environmental assessments in order to decrease the burden of asthma on high risk children.

The Alameda County Lead Poisoning Prevention Program facilitates the delivery of education and low-cost housing interventions in order to increase the number of healthy homes in Alameda County for low-income families with children and adolescents 0-18 years of age that have been diagnosed with asthma.

The primary goal of the Healthy Homes program in Multnomah County is to decrease exposures to multiple household hazards which contribute to asthma exacerbations and other serious illnesses among children under the age of 6 in Portland's distressed communities.

The Asthma Program aims to reduce asthma exacerbation, ER visits, and missed school and work days from asthma by educating families through home and asthma clinic visits.

The Asthma EPA program at Pawnee IHS is targeted at pediatric patients who have been diagnosed with asthma.
