Respiratory Care Student Government Program
The center offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care and services that extend beyond a routine doctor's office visit. Our goal is to ensure that patients, families and communities have the skills and tools they need to manage their asthma.

The San Diego Unified School District Nursing and Wellness Asthma Management Project is currently in the second year of a five year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Lung Association of San Diego.
The SFGH Pediatric Asthma & Allergy Clinic is a hospital based clinic serving the poor and underserved children in San Francisco ages birth to 21 in the county's public hospital. Our clinic provides the clinical portion of our multi-faceted approach developed by the San Francisco Asthma Task Force.

The School Asthma Initiative offers programs and resources to Early Learning Centers and K-12th grade to educate school personnel, students, parents and nurses about proper asthma management. We also provide free management tools and patient assistance for respiratory patients in need of medicaton, oxygen or an air-conditioned environment. We also sponsor Camp Huff-and-Puff for children with asthma ages 8-13.
