The New York State (NYS) Healthy Neighborhoods Program (HNP) seeks to reduce the burden of housing related illness, and asthma in particular, through a holistic healthy homes approach and strategic partnerships with clinical services. Five key features distinguish the program. The NYS HNP:

We recently started a waiver program with government funding on educating the patients and their families about asthma and its control. Our website is not developed yet and we do not have a specific name for this waiver project.

North East Independent School District's Asthma Awareness Education Program will address the needs of students and staff by creating a healthy environment and by providing technical and educational resources for the students and staff on environmental air quality and asthma management. Our commitment to classroom indoor air quality and asthma management results in higher student/staff productivity and attendance which benefit the district with increased state funding, lower healthcare costs, and increased student performance. Healthier children learn better.

Clinic based outpatient asthma management program

The Northeast Minnesota Regional Asthma Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations committed to improving the lives of people with asthma in Minnesota.

The Northern Manhattan Asthma Basics for Children (ABC) Initiative collaborates with community care organizations to empower parents to better manage their children's asthma.

NWCAA produced and gives away highly complimented peer reviewed Mold and Asthma videos (DVDs) that are designed to help intervene in patient's homes without the assistance of a health professional. NWCAA provides free school, home and rental inspections to help resolve indoor air quality issues.
