In our community we are having trouble making the case both to providers and insurance companies that asthma is an important issue. ALA-UM - do you have any tips for getting providers interested in the subject of asthma? BCBS - what data internal or external made asthma an important topic for you?
Do you have any insights to share about retaining children in school-based clinic asthma programs? You noted that your model has been successful in school-based clinics, and retention has been a problem in some school-based clinic programs.
I'd like to know more about the types of staff (licensed and non-licensed) used in the implementation of the quality improvement program. For example, what are the qualifications of those who work with the primary clinics? Who conducts the home assessments?
