Mold, vocs, smoking, in disabled and elderly project based section 8.

Posted on: 14 July 2017 By: Tiedyedsheep

I hear much about smoking being bad in federally funded multi family projects, and it is, management at my building say they would have issues renting if they went smoke free.  Although those of us who actually live in this buildings know how bad the environment is.  How come mold is so over looked, how come even when you complain about health issues from pesticides and breathing issues from pesticides they still come in for added applications living residents with no save place to go for days to weeks to ever again.

Evaluation tools or other techniques for a small asthma ed program-any ideas?

Posted on: 13 July 2017 By: csaunders
Aloha:
Can someone direct me to evaluation tools or kit or guidemlines for our small asthma program?
I want to send a research proposal and to do so need a solid evaluation piece in my program which I dont have.
Is there a quality of life or other scale if I cannot pull ER visit frequency before and after education?

HCSC: Medicaid reimbursement?

Posted on: 16 May 2017 By: kchan

HI all, thanks so much for a very informative webinar. My question is for Bridget: Does HCSC provide asthma services to its Medicaid population? If so, do you receive any amount of reimbursement through Medicaid, or have you had any discussions with state Medicaid offices about this? Thank you!

Question From An Adult Asthma Program

Posted on: 16 May 2017 By: nancona

Good afternoon all,

I work in a program that conducts work-related asthma surveillance associated with occupational or work-related exposures/triggers in adults. I am wondering: How often do parents/guardians report or mention work-related asthma during home visits focused on their children? Our program is looking to expand our outreach efforts and partnerships, ideas are welcome!

Thank you!
