The Environment Education Outreach Program focuses on the improvement of indoor air quality in schools and homes and encourages collaboration within and among communities and environmental health professionals.
The goal of the EnviroSensor project is to create a platform to explore methods for crowd sourcing community air quality data. We are experimenting with open source sensor hardware and tools for interactive data visualization. Our team is currently working to tailor this device to equip children with information about the air pollution around them to make informed decisions that may help them prevent asthma attacks.

The Erie County Health Department's Asthma Response Team (ART) is an in-home intervention designed to lessen the burden of asthma on participating families through a two-pronged approach of asthma education and environmental trigger reduction.
Promotoras conduct home visits for children with asthma that were seen in CHMC's ER or hospitalized with asthma. They provide asthma education and remediation of potential asthma triggers in the home.
Fairfield County Environmental Justice Network is conducting an educational campaign to encourage people with uncontrolled or undiagnosed asthma to get treatment by educating family and friends about the signs and symptoms of asthma, asthma triggers, and resources.
