EPAAC brings together doctors, community and teaching hospitals, school nurses, respiratory technicians, and lay persons to identify persons with asthma, conduct education outreach, and host awareness raising events.
Our program provides extensive asthma teaching, allergy testing and PFT testing.
The Energy Resource Center works closely with Colorado Springs Utilities as well as other utility providers and nonprofits in El Paso, Elbert, Douglas, Fremont and Teller counties. Our mission is to help income-qualified residents make energy efficiency improvements to their homes or apartments that will increase their quality of life, save them money on energy bills. Our efforts help to keep southern Colorado families warm and protect them from the risks associated with dangerously low temperatures and carbon monoxide poisoning. We have been helping families save money and conserve energy since 1979.

The Environment Education Outreach Program focuses on the improvement of indoor air quality in schools and homes and encourages collaboration within and among communities and environmental health professionals.
The goal of the EnviroSensor project is to create a platform to explore methods for crowd sourcing community air quality data. We are experimenting with open source sensor hardware and tools for interactive data visualization. Our team is currently working to tailor this device to equip children with information about the air pollution around them to make informed decisions that may help them prevent asthma attacks.
We perform environmental and healthy home indoor air testing assessments. Our goal is to provide information to facilitate avoidance in an effort to reduce acute episodes for chronic environmentally triggered chronic conditions.

EPA Region 10 supports healthy and safe air quality in AK, OR, ID, WA, and tribal communities. Various programs support this goal, such as the air program, children's environmental health, lead and asbestos, and more.

The Erie County Health Department's Asthma Response Team (ART) is an in-home intervention designed to lessen the burden of asthma on participating families through a two-pronged approach of asthma education and environmental trigger reduction.
