Kalamazoo County Environmental Health (EH) Division strives to improve the physical and mental well being of Kalamazoo County citizens by promoting Healthy Home concepts.

Some examples include mold and mildew, dust mites, pet dander, and secondhand smoke. Then, the volunteer and resident develop a simple action plan that includes low or no-cost ways in which to make the suggested improvements.
Healthy Hoops is an innovative health education and management program from AmeriHealth Mercy that uses basketball as a platform to teach members how to manage their asthma.
The Healthy Hoops Program is an innovative, community-based program that provides health screenings and education to boys and girls with asthma, ages 8-14, in a fun setting with celebrity basketball coaches and medical supervision, as well as a mini-basketball camp.
One Touch programs operate in 2 states and 5 cities to connect asthma programs with other health, housing and energy programs.
